Thameslink
Thameslink operate the new Brighton to Peterborough service, although trains through Redhill currently only run to Bedford or Luton via London using a combination of four carriage Class 319 electric multiple units and Class 377 electric multiple units, sometimes calling at London Bridge and sometimes going via Herne Hill, Elephant & Castle and Blackfriars. These will be replaced with new Class 700 electric multiple units in coming years.

Great Western Railway
Great Western operate services hauled by three carriage Class 166 diesel multiple units. They run a two train per hour shuttle service between Reading and Gatwick Airport, via Guildford, Dorking, Reigate and Redhill. These trains have 276 seats and larger luggage bays specifically for the Gatwick service. This is a popular route as it negates the need to travel via central London. Longer journey time balanced out by cheaper tickets if you are not in a hurry.
